在英國辦申根簽證, (德簽法簽經驗)
在英國辦申根簽證一直是很令人頭疼的事，在辦理申根簽證的過程中，得到hello uk及其它網路資訊很大的幫助，簡單分享一下過去一年申請簽證的心得，回饋給大家。
I
提早一到兩個月準備
通常簽證準備需要早於出發日期一到兩個月比較保險，所以如果打算十二月耶誕假期出去玩的話，十月就可以著手準備辦理簽證事宜了。
申根簽證可以用於歐洲各申根國，通常是跟入境國或是停留天數最多的國家申請。
決定交通方式及去的國家
如果沒有特別想去哪一國，可以利用SKYSCANNER，由便宜機票決定你要去的國家。
機票比價網站

當初訂到不少零元機票，但是稅金等等加一加也不會真的零元，實際約在十磅上下，也是相當便宜。但是買便宜機票要注意機場的交通，因為通常廉價航空的機場都比較偏遠，常常加上機場周邊交通費用和所費時間，也不見得划算，可以仔細評估看看。(像去巴黎，其實提早買eurostar鐵路的票，來回59磅，坐 ryanair航空，行李超過十公斤，就要加收二十磅了。)
其它還有搭巴士和買鐵路pass等方式，可以自行比較選擇。

住宿
我是用http://www.hostelworld.com/
該網站雖然要付10%訂金，但是可以花一磅買Cancellation Protection，如果到時候沒有辦法辦到簽證，也可以把訂金退到帳號裡，下次訂房的時候可以用。我用上面網站訂的住房，辦法簽和德簽都過了。
把交通和住宿確認好後，差不多就可以開始著手準備辦理簽證的其他文件了，如果需要面簽的，可以先預約時間，然後再準備，等所有文件都準備好再預約，對於一些比較難預約到面簽時間的國家，可能就稍嫌慢了些。

在SHEFFIELD辦申根簽
由於本身在SHEFFIELD唸書，所以是以在SHEFFIELD就讀的身分來選擇辦理簽證的大使館，其它地區會有不同的狀況，可以自行查詢。
(以下是SHEFFIELD就讀朋友申請過的經驗)
德國: 電話預約，倫敦面簽。
法國: 寄簽。或是網路/電話預約，倫敦面簽。
西班牙: 電話預約，曼徹斯特面簽。
瑞典: 網路預約，倫敦面簽。
我辦過的是以下兩次申根簽，簡單分享申請心得:

2008年德簽倫敦面簽
十月打電話預約，預約到十一月的倫敦面簽。
一分鐘一磅的昂貴預約專線，如果是用pay as you go的電話或是skyout，記得先儲值。預約電話內容約如下連結，建議把相關資料備齊，可以省電話費。

預約後，他們會寄預約信來，預約日期當天帶著信件及文件過去即可。
英國在學學生申請旅遊申根簽證所需文件 (http://www.london.diplo.de/Vertretung/lond...gen__seite.html)
• A passport with one blank page and residence permit for the UK (endorsed in the passport), both valid for at least three months longer than the expiry date of the visa.
• Visa application form with colour photo (see links below for application form and further information on passport photos).
• A travel health insurance covering at least £20,000 and valid for all member states of Schengen. (經驗: 旅遊保險買的天數會跟你拿到的簽證有關，如果你只買十天，你就不可能拿到多於十天的簽證，我是跟這個網站買了一年的旅遊險，http://www.travelinsurance-uk.org/travelinsurance/index.php，一年不到二十磅，辦德簽和法簽都過了。)
• If you wish to receive your documents back by post one self-addressed Special Delivery envelope. (經驗: 建議把上面的查詢號碼先抄起來，之後好追蹤，因為我的法簽就是待在郵局好一陣子，漏收了去拿信的紅條子)
• Confirmed hotel booking covering all your stay in the Schengen countries. (經驗: http://www.hostelworld.com/ 在這網站訂的房，辦法簽和德簽都過了，買Cancellation Protection的話，到時候換行程退訂也有一定的彈性。)
• Evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay, e.g. recent bank statement or traveller´s cheques. Please note that cash is no acceptable proof. (經驗: 使用銀行每月寄來的account balance文件。如果間隔時間太長，可以去銀行請她們印出來最新的銀行餘額，但是仍要附上之前有姓名地址帳號的文件證明該帳號是你的)
• Proof of travel health insurance (see above) to cover the whole period of the visa´s validity. This can be a travel health insurance available at any post office (nearest to the Embassy in Eccleston Street on the way to/from Victoria Station).(經驗: 我是用同一份旅遊險http://www.travelinsurance-uk.org/travelinsurance/index.php就通過了)
• Evidence of occupation/student status, i.e. recent letter from your employer / school / university. (經驗: 去學校的Student Services Information Desk拿學生status證明，上面應該要有學校蓋的印)
我當天把文件帶去後，沒幾天就收到寄回的護照和VISA，拿到三個月進出三十天。(計劃旅遊天數二十五天:德國十四天，捷克四天，西班牙七天)

2009 法簽寄簽

Sheffield屬於可以寄簽的地區，故以寄簽申請，寄簽不要早於出發前兩個月寄，也不要晚於三個禮拜。(如果是8/24出發，不要在6/24前寄，也不能8/3號之後才寄)
2009/07/07寄出，2009/07/24大使館寄發簽證。
行程: 2009/08/24-09/02 法國巴黎
2009/09/16-9/26 德國瑞典
我把九月去德國瑞典的住宿和機票也附上，拿到兩個月三十天多次進出的簽證。
文件準備如下:
Documents requested + photocopies:
(經驗:他說要影印，就一定要附影本!! 正本和影本分別放在兩個透明夾子裡。不能釘起來，我是用迴紋針夾，文件其實跟德簽差不多，只是要兩份)
The French Consulate insists on photocopies of the documents to be included with the application.
• 1. A national passport or official travel document valid for more than 3 months beyond the validity of the requested visa, with a blank visa page to affix the visa sticker. Your British Residence permit (stamped in passport or in the form of an identity card) must also exceed by more than 3 months the validity of the requested visa. If your British residency states the name of your spouse, fiancé (e), unmarried partner or child, please bring this person’s valid passport when you apply for your Schengen visa as well as an official proof of your relationship.
2. One application form duly completed and signed by the applicant (or the legal guardian for children).
3. 2 photographs. Please read photo guidance document (我是在一般快照機器照的)
4. Nationals who must expect a delay for the processing of their applications delay?
Either a self-addressed pre-paid special delivery envelope for the return of your passport - highly recommended as it is quicker, (記得抄下寄去及回郵兩個信封的追蹤號碼，可以上royalmail網站http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm /personal?pageId=tab_track_rm&catId=500185&mediaId=83900761確認後續大使館收到及寄出的細節)
or a 1st class stamped self-addressed envelope to be informed of your second appointment.
5. Proof of financial means of support: a recent statement of your UK current account or traveller’s cheques. A minimum of £40 per day spent in France per person is required. (經驗: 使用銀行每月寄來的account balance文件。如果間隔時間太長，可以去銀行請她們印出來最新的銀行餘額，但是仍要附上之前有姓名地址帳號的文件證明該帳號是你的)
• 6. Proof of travel: A confirmed return ticket to France (plane, ferry, bus, etc.) or booking fully paid from your travel agent (including itinerary if participating in a tour). (經驗: 附eurostar的電子車票，從網路上印下來的)
7. Proof of accommodation: A reservation confirmation issued directly by the hotel clearly stating your full names, the dates of check-in and out, the hotel address and contact details or a Certificate of Board and Lodging ("Attestation d’Accueil") to be obtained by the person you are visiting in France from the local Townhall ("Mairie"). • 8. Travel insurance including medical cover and repatriation with a 30000€ limit, valid for the Schengen area. It must cover the duration of the requested visa. (經驗: 旅遊保險買的天數會跟你拿到的簽證有關，如果你只買十天，你就不可能拿到多於十天的簽證，我跟這個網站買了一年的旅遊險，http://www.travelinsurance-uk.org/travelinsurance/index.php，一年不到二十磅，辦德簽和法簽都過了。訂完後，網站會寄確認郵件給你，裡頭有附Policy Documents，我有把裡頭關於medical cover and repatriation with a 30000€ limit, valid for the Schengen area的那幾頁印出，用螢光筆畫出來。然後填寫她們附的表格Discharge form duly completed and signed by the applicant)
• If studying:
9. An official up-to-date letter from your school, college or university stating the type of studies, details of course and attendance record. (經驗: 去學校的Student Services Information Desk拿學生status證明，上面應該要有學校蓋的印)
填寫付款的表格
credit card by filling the authorisation of payment per bank card form. If the cardholder is not the visa applicant, please supply copy of passport and proof of address of the cardholder; (經驗: 填了英國銀行SOLO卡的資料，可以藉由帳戶的扣款，觀察大使館的進度……) Or by Postal Orders.
插曲: 因為郵局的失誤，所以一直沒有領到我的VISA及護照。我中間每一個禮拜都寫EMAIL去大使館問，她們都沒回我信，等超過一個月之後，終於受不了打電話去大使館詢問，才得知我的護照早就在上個月就寄出了。要了追蹤號碼後，才由當地郵局服務處領回。所以，發現銀行扣款後一個禮拜，還沒有收到信件，可以打電話去大使館問，雖然常忙線，但是有點耐心還是打得進去的。
